Certeo is TAKKT AG‘s sales brand for business equipment in Europe, founded in 2009 and currently active in Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland. In its online-shop, Certeo covers the complete range of office and business equipment required by companies and attaches great importance to high quality, professionalism and personal individual advice.


Certeo offers a wide range of office and factory equipment in its shop, which operates on the Spryker system. The users are business customers, who usually have a very clear idea of their desired product through a clear purchase order and start their research mainly via the search engine Google. When they are referred to the shop here, only a very few users click their way through the variety of products. If they don‘t find what they are looking for at first glance, they end their visit to the shop.

Due to the standard product sorting, Certeo could not shine so far by individualization. Therefore, not enough users found what they were looking for and the shop had a conversion rate below expectations.

That‘s why Certeo was looking for a solution that would make it easier for users to search for their desired product through relevance, encourage them to continue browsing and lead to the conclusion of the purchase.  


For this purpose, Certeo uses the ODOSCOPE situationalization platform both for product recommendations and in the category, overview pages and search result lists. This approach makes it possible to adapt the online-shop to the individual needs as well as the shopping situation of each user, whether known or unknown, in less than 20 ms.

To do this, the SaaS tool uses existing data treasures and doesn‘t create new silos: only the surfing behavior of historical customers that are most similar to the current user in terms of features such as past purchases (e.g. shelves, tables) and situational data (e.g. referrer: Google, location: Cologne, terminal: MacBook) is taken into account for the calculation of the playout logic. Based on historical data, ODOSCOPE finds the page elements with the highest situational relevance for the current user.

This enables tailor-made recommendations on product detail pages and individually relevant content in product categories as well as in search results. Thanks to the server-side integration using a Spryker Plug-In from ODOSCOPE, shop individualization could begin from day 1.

Through the use of ODOSCOPE, the B2B shop for office and business equipment is able to offer all users, especially determined customers, a highly individual customer experience. Thanks to the tailor-made online shop, every user can find what he is looking for at a glance: hours of research and tedious scrolling through the jungle of product worlds are no longer necessary thanks to situationalization.

The individual sorting of the products in category overview pages and search results already led to a double-digit uplift in sales during the test phase. ODOSCOPE continues to achieve peak sales uplifts of over 40% through situational recommendations and increases the conversion rate. Through the situationalization solution, the online shop has found a way to consolidate existing data and use it profitably. For 100% of users and fully GDPR compliant.

Scalable personalization is entirely data-driven. It is highly accurate and lightning fast. It intelligently combines knowledge from multiple digital touchpoints and is fully automated. Scalable personalization easily enables any number of playout variants based on high-dimensional prescriptive analytics.

With Merchandising, you can actively contribute your knowledge and experience: you can control which products are promoted or penalized based on margins or out-of-stocks. How is ODOSCOPE implemented?

We offer plugins for Shopware, Shopify and Salesforce for quick and easy integration into a shop system (as of Q1, 2024). Otherwise ODOSCOPE is integrated into the store system via REST API. The integration is thoroughly documented and closely monitored by our reliable Customer Success Team.

How can I reach ODOSCOPE as a customer?

Each of our customers is in close contact with a dedicated account manager and representative from our Customer Success team. Personal contacts are always available via email or a customer-specific Slack or Teams channel.

What is the pricing model?

An ODOSCOPE license is essentially calculated based on the traffic volume of an online shop per year (sessions per year in 1 million steps). Another factor is the number of AI modules used for the various onsite personalization activities like product list sorting, search result sorting, recommendations, mailings, adaptive ads etc.

Can I cancel my subscription?

We want all customers to be happy and satisfied with our solution and services, of course. However, if a customer decides to end the contract, the contractually agreed notice period applies. In general, an annual license will be renewed for another year unless it is cancelled in writing with 3 months notice to the end of the contract.
